Stock Spirits’ Božkov product range has been named as the most trusted alcohol brand in the Czech Republic after an extensive nationwide pole. Atoz Marketing Services’ Trusted Brands programme asked 4,000 consumers to rate almost 600 brands and services across 60 categories, with Božkov beating global players such as Tullamore Dew, Finlandia and Jägermeister to claim the top spot in the alcohol category.
Božkov is a stalwart of the alcohol market in the Czech Republic, having been in existence for almost 70 years. The Božkov range includes rum, vodka and vodka-based flavoured liqueurs. Other Stock Spirits brands to score highly in the category were Fernet Stock, which is a classic Czech bitter spirit that is made from a recipe based on 14 herbs from around the world, and Amundsen, which is a premium quality vodka that is unique to the Czech market.
Domestic Czech brands were voted as the most trusted in more than half of the categories under consideration, including shoes, cars and online shops. The findings confirm the trend for Czech consumers to generally favour long-standing local brands over newer international names.
Commenting on the award, Jan Havlis, Managing Director of Stock Spirits’ Czech Republic business, said: “We are delighted that Božkov continues to be so popular with the Czech consumer. We know that trust plays an extremely important role for people when purchasing products, and we have worked hard over a long period of time to build and maintain that level of trust in Božkov and indeed all of our brands. We very much hope that our exciting range of new products, such as Božkov White and our range of flavoured Božkov Specials, will come to be held in such high regard.”
