Embargo: Warsaw, 6 March 2025: Stock Spirits Group unveiled today, the launch of Limoncè Aperitivo, marking its entry into the thriving aperitivo category. Backed by a multi-million-euro investment, this new product represents one of the company’s most significant launches to date and signals a major step in its ambition to lead the European spirit market.
The aperitivo category continues to grow rapidly, partly driven by shifting consumer preferences for lower-alcohol options. With the launch of Limoncè Aperitivo, Stock Sprits has uniquely positioned itself to capitalise on this demand by offering a bold and modern take on Italy’s beloved aperitivo tradition.
Jean-Christophe Coutures, CEO of Stock Spirits commented: “The launch of Limoncé Aperitivo is a bold step forwards in our ambition to become the leading mainstream sprits company in Europe by 2027. This product strengthens our entrance into the dynamic aperitivo category and reflects how we are innovating our product portfolio to meet changing consumer demands while continuing to drive growth across our key markets.”
Crafted with care
The creation of Limoncè Aperitivo reflects Stock Spirits expertise in crafting quality sprits with passion and precision. Made with 100% Sicilian Femminello lemons, a meticulous, near-artisanal production process ensures that the natural flavour and aroma of the ingredients is preserved. Free from artificial additives, this dedication to craftmanship delivers distinctive Mediterranean charm in every bottle. The bold blue and yellow bottle and packaging draws inspiration from Sicilian Baroque architecture but with a contemporary twist, designed to stand out on supermarket and bar shelves.
A signature cocktail for modern aperitivo moments
At 14.8% ABV, Limoncè Aperitivo offers a naturally lighter, refreshing option to bitter-orange aperitifs. The product has been crafted specifically for ultimate mixability, and shines in its new signature cocktail, the Limoncè Spritz. To be sipped slowly, and at a leisurely pace, with the perfect balance of prosecco and soda, the Limoncè Spritz is the new fresh accompaniment for a slow lunch, after-work drinks, or special occasions.
A strategic market rollout
The launch of Limoncè Aperitivo will be supported by a heavyweight dynamic marketing campaign across all Stock Spirits’ international markets, combining digital advertising, on- and off-trade activations and experiential events. Available in France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, Balkans and Slovakia, Limoncè Aperitivo will be a valuable new addition to the Stock Spirits portfolio.
From introducing the Limoncè Spritz beyond Italy to creating unforgettable aperitivo moments, the campaign aims to inspire consumers and engage with trade partners to build excitement around this bold new addition to the Group’s product range.
The project bears the signature of Robilant, the leading branding firm based in Milan, renowned for its experience in launching and revitalizing icons of the Italian aperitif on a global scale. In addition to refocusing the Limoncello promise and shaping the identity of the new bottle, Robilant has crafted a disruptive visual language and narrative style that perfectly captures Limoncè’s Italian essence, proudly breaking clichés and rewriting the rules for the entire category.
Nicolas Mazuranic, Chief Marketing Officer of Stock Spirits said:
“Limoncè Apertivo is a natural evolution for the Limoncè brand, expanding its appeal and relevance in the thriving aperitivo category. This launch is a shining example of how Stock Spirits is championing local heritage brands and transforming them into European icons.
Limoncè Aperitivo captures the spirit of Sicilian amiability, warmth and tradition. Whether it’s the zingy natural flavour, its bright design or production craftsmanship, every detail is designed to inspire moments of connection and celebration.
