During the 19th century, Polish seafarers combined the proud Polish tradition of distilling the finest vodka with the exotic colonial fruits, herbs and spices they brought back from their voyages to distant lands. Such adventures inspired the first recipe for the world renowned, Żołądkowa Gorzka.
Now, this iconic Polish brand is returning to its roots, by introducing two new flavour variants: premium editions Żołądkowa Kolonialna Cayemites Bay with a hint of brandy and Żołądkowa Kolonialna Port-au-Prince with hint of whiskey, both with an alcohol by volume content of 38%.
New Żołądkowa Kolonialna draws on the traditional 19th century recipe for Żołądkowa Gorzka, based on bitter oranges imported from the farthest corners of the world. The orange macerate, combined with exotic spices and notes of brandy and whiskey, aged in oak barrels, gives the vodka its rich and complex flavour.
