Stock Spirits Group, Central Europe's leading producer of branded spirits, has been awarded three prizes at this year's Monde Selection in Brussels. Wódka Żołądkowa Gorzka (Vodka - fruit/herbs) and Orkisz (Vodka - spelt wheat) both scooped gold medals, while Lubelska Wisniowka (Flavoured vodka - fruit - cherry) received a bronze.
This is the second raft of awards in as many months for Stock Spirits Group's Vodka brands, following success at the 2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Monde Selection has been testing and grading food and beverage products for over four decades. The jury is made up of industry experts including university lecturers, professional tasters, oenologists and speciality judges, led by President J. Bessemans, a prominent wine and alcohol specialist.
Commenting on the awards, Neil Everitt, Chief Executive Officer of Stock Spirits Group, said: "We are pleased to have been awarded no less than three medals by Monde's eminent judging panel. It is important to safeguard the heritage of these brands whilst ensuring they are equipped to compete in a highly competitive space, so the awards we are picking up in this category are encouraging."
He continued: "Over the next year, we will be looking at expansion opportunities in other markets. Our brands have the potential to be successful all over the world and we are committed to showcasing the best that Central Europe has to offer."
