Stock Spirits Group acquired Polmos Bielsko-Biala

Stock Spirits Group, through its Polish subsidiary, Stock Polska, has completed the acquisition of Polmos Bielsko-Biala S.A. The transaction is important for the development of the group’s business in Poland and Europe. As a result of the acquisition Stock Spirits will have a complete offer in the vodka segment in Poland across mainstream and premium categories. Polmos’ premium vodka brands will also be a strong driver of premium vodka exports for us across Europe.

Polmos Bielsko-Biała is an expert in the production of pure and flavoured spirits with flagship products such as premium vodkas – Bialy Bocian and Oginski, Zytnia vodka, and Advocaat egg cream. The products are appreciated for their high quality due to the highest production standards.

‘Polmos Bielsko-Biala is a respected producer of quality spirits in Poland. The acquisition is an important stage in the implementation of our group’s strategy in Europe. The merger will enable the creation of a full product offering in the vodka segment, in the mainstream and premium categories, in Poland. Additionally, it will also give us an opportunity to expand premium vodka exports across Europe. Polmos Bielsko-Biala, with its best-in-class factory, will add capacity to our growing business,’ – says Jean-Christophe Coutures, CEO of Stock Spirits Group.

Stock Polska is an important part of the international Stock Spirits Group’s business, and one of the leading producers of pure vodkas and flavoured spirits and distributors of alcoholic products from global producers in Poland. The company’s offer includes over 40 brands of vodkas, flavoured liqueurs based on vodka, rum, brandy, and bitters. The most recognisable brands include: Żołądkowa Gorzka, Żołądkowa de Luxe, Stock Prestige, Amundsen, Lubelska, Millhills, and Stock84. As of November 2021 Stock Spirits Group is one of the portfolio companies of CVC Capital Partners.

“The investment in Polmos Bielsko-Biala is part of the development strategy we adopted when investing in Stock Spirits Group. Our aim is to continue the group’s dynamic growth based on the highest quality products and advanced technologies to expand our offering. I am convinced that the acquisition will bring out the best in both organisations and strengthen the Stock Spirits Group in Poland and in its expansion into other European markets,” says Krzysztof Krawczyk, Partner at CVC Capital Partners.

The finalisation of the acquisition of Polmos Bielsko-Biala follows exclusive negotiations by Stock Spirits Group for other European M&As, including one of France’s most popular Scotch whisky brands, Clan Campbell, from Pernod Ricard and Dugas, a French independent premium spirits distributor, as well as Borco-Marken-Import Matthiesen, one of Germany’s and Europe’s leading spirits producers and distributors, owner of the iconic Sierra Tequila brand. All transactions are currently in the final stages of the required regulatory procedures in the respective countries.
